M51 Aug 26, better blue, better processing

M51, Pinwheel Galaxy, project continuing. More blue collected to reduce noise in that channel, and each channel reprocessed to reduce sky glow gradient. QSI583wsg on AT8RC, autoguided with Lodestar, all on G11.

Luminance 90 minutes in 5-minute subs, 1x1.
Red 65 minutes in 5-minute subs, 2x2.
Green 90 minutes in 3-minute subs, 2x2.
Blue 81 minutes in 3-minute subs, 2x2.

 

Calibrated with darks and flats in CCDStack, aligned, and median-combined. Channels individually processed in Photoshop with GradientXterminator, LRGB combined, fine-tuned.
